What is a live wedding photo mosaic?

It is a physical portrait of the couple, built from smaller photographs contributed by their guests. From a distance you see your chosen image; up close you can rediscover the people and memories within it.

How do our guests take part?

Guests scan a QR code and upload photographs from their phones. They can share memories from before the wedding as well as moments from the day. Allan creates and places the physical tiles as the portrait takes shape.

Do we place all the tiles ourselves?

Allan creates and places the tiles while you and your guests enjoy the day. Twelve photographs come together on each 6 × 4 inch tile.

What do we keep after the wedding?

Your mosaic is finished in gloss resin, set in an aluminium frame and returned ready to hang. Both editions include a personal Tessera film revealing the photographs within your artwork.

How much does Tessera cost?

Tessera Edition is £2,750 for an 80 × 60 cm artwork. Tessera Grande is £3,750 for 120 × 80 cm. Both include one-day attendance, guest image collection, finishing, framing and the personal film.

Where is Tessera based, and is travel included?

Tessera’s travel base is LE16 9EL. Travel within 50 miles is included; additional mileage is charged at 50p per mile. Share your venue with Allan for a confirmed travel total. International weddings are by arrangement.

When will our finished artwork arrive?

Finished artwork is delivered within approximately two weeks of your wedding.

What should we discuss before booking?

Ask about availability, the photograph for your main portrait, attendance hours, venue space, power and internet requirements, guest photo handling, travel and the booking and cancellation terms. Allan can discuss these with you for your particular day.
